The subtitle might be misleading. I am not claiming that Japanese people have found the elixir for eternal life or are some sort of vampire or zombie race that is immortal. But it is true that Japanese people tend to be healthier and live longer than many other people around the world.

According to the World Bank Group, the average life expectancy around the world is 72 years old. The highest life expectancy in the world is Japan at 84.62 years which is more than a decade more than the average. That means Japanese people are doing something right.

Of course, not all Japanese people live long, not all eat these foods, and other factors such as wealth, job, exercise, food portions, and habits also are factors. But a major part of the reason comes from the Japanese food diet choices.
