This is probably one of the most bizarre missing children cases I have ever come across in Japan. Not only because it is still unsolved with no answers or known whereabouts of the little girl Yukari Yokoyama, but because many journalists have uncovered that the police may have already known the abductor but haven’t taken action.

Despite being missing since 1996, Yukari or her remains have never been found. Other missing children who were taken around the same area, in the same way, have been found dead. Is Yukari linked with one of those abducted and killed children as well?

A very baffling case as the parents who were playing slot machines called pachinko in Japanese were just steps away from where Yukari was last seen. CCTV cameras not only saw a strange man talking to her, but also saw her follow him out. Where did Yukari go? Did that man abduct her? Was he ever identified? Are…
